Welcome to the home of Granite City & Madison Girl Scouts!
Granite City & Madison Girl Scouts
The Girl Scout Promise & Law
We serve the girls of Granite City, Madison, Mitchell, Pontoon Beach, and
Venice as part of the newly realigned Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois Council.
Currently, Granite City Girls Scouts brings the Girl Scout movement to almost
500 registered girls in our communities with approximately 100 Adult
Volunteers working with these girls . There are six possible pathways for a girl
to participate in; this is not our mom's Girl Scout experience. While troops are
still the most popular pathway; there are camping, special event, special
interest, travel, and virtual pathways that each registered girl can choose to
participate in.

Girl Scouting is for girls ages 5 - 17 and adults 18+. Our goal is to help "grow"
girls of courage, confidence, and character who strive to make the world a
better place to live. We strive to instill skills for success in the real world,
develop qualities that will serve each girl all her life; like leadership, strong
values, social conscience, and conviction about her own potential and
self-worth.

The Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country;
To help people at all times; and
To live by the Girl Scout Law.
The Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
Honest and fair,
Friendly and helpful,
Considerate and caring,
Courageous and strong, and
Responsible for what I say and do,
And to
Respect myself and others,
Respect authority,
Use resources wisely,
Make the world a better place, and
Be a sister to every Girl Scout.
Cookie Caravan 2008
Cookie Caravan gives the girls
the opportunity to practice their
sales skills while  whetting the
community's appetite for Girl
Scout Cookies!
Meetings
are the primary way that girls
participate in the Girl Scout
experience. As a registered
member of Girl Scouts, each
girl may participate in other
pathways that are meant to
enrich her experience in Girl
Scouting.
